Dear SAU 36 Families,
It is that time of year to start making plans for the summer! Summer programming is different this year as we are striving to include students who don't usually attend traditional summer school. This year, our summer learning programs (with the exception of preschool programming) will all be held at WMRHS. Our K-5 Summer Learning Camp program will be held from 8am-1pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for four weeks from July 12 - August 4. Lunch will be provided as well as bus transportation from a central location in each of the five towns.
We are looking forward to providing continued learning opportunities for our students in a fun, camp-like atmosphere this summer! Please see the links below to the flyer and sign-up form to be completed by April 22nd.
Please note: More details about our 6-8 Spartan Summer Session program will be sent out next week, along with information about the Futures Camps. The 6-8 Spartan Summer Session will run the same days and times as the K-5 program.

With the large number of sign-ups for baseball, we will be having two combined teams. (Parents will need to provide transportation to practices that start after 3:30. Athletes will not be able to wait at LES for practice to start)
Grades 6, 7, 8 - Track and Field - Practices will take place at Lancaster Elementary School and White Mountains Regional High School.
Track and Field Starts on April 11th, 3:30-5:00 pm @ LES
Updated schedules will be posted on https://wmrms.bigteams.com/.
Requirements:
Every athlete must complete FamilyID and have a current physical on file with the District. If you are unsure of your child’s last physical on file, please contact Lisa Miller, WES School Nurse or Susan Marineau, LES School Nurse.
Please make sure your child has plenty of water for practice and is wearing the appropriate attire. Game schedules will be posted on the WMRMS BigTeams website (https://wmrms.bigteams.com/) and will be updated if changes occur. In addition to the BigTeams website , connect with us on the District website, Facebook and Twitter to get the most up to date information regarding WMRMS Athletics.
Transportation - Practice & Home Games
Whitefield athletes will travel to the Lancaster School and White Mountains Regional High School via the Sports Bus each afternoon that practice is scheduled. The bus will depart promptly at 3:05 pm from the Whitefield School. Lancaster Track athletes will travel to White Mountains Regional High School via the sports bus when practice is scheduled to be there on Thursday and Fridays. The bus will depart promptly at 2:50 pm from Lancaster School. If your child is not on the bus at that time, they will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to practice. Parents are responsible for picking their child up from the Lancaster School and WMRHS each afternoon. The Sports Bus will not bring students back to Lancaster or Whitefield School after practice.
Transportation – Away Games
On days that away games are scheduled, the bus will pick up at either LES or WES first (depending on the game location) and head to their destination. For this year only, if athletes do not take the bus to the away game, they will need to provide a written notice from their parent/guardian to the Athletic Director in advance stating that they will transport their child to and from an away game. Parents can also pick up their athlete after an away game; but, you must sign them out with the coach before you depart from the field.
School buildings will not be open during athletic events.

Good Evening Whitefield School Families,
Today brings us to April 1st and a week from today is the end of the third quarter. The year has moved pretty quickly and as such we are planning end of year field trips and activities. I have a few reminders for you:
Please be sure to continue bringing boots as we are into full on mud season. An extra pair of pants for our youngest is always a good idea.
We are noticing that afternoon pick up is getting congested earlier and earlier and as such, visitors and district staff are having a hard time entering and exiting the parking area. Please do not arrive for pick up any earlier than 2:40 pm. For both arrival and pick up we ask that you stay in the lane you are in unless one of the staff directs you otherwise. Weaving from lane to lane is becoming a safety issue. Your patience has made for a safe procedure this year, but we need to be vigilant with those protocols to maintain that safety.
There will be many updates in the next two months as events are scheduled. Please be sure to watch your email and social media.
Have a great weekend
After School Activity Announcement:
Jazz band has been cancelled today, March 31, 2022. Please call the school office to relay how your student is going home today.
Thank you,
Mr. Martins
